Giving Back

When I was in college at Louisiana Tech in the mid to late 1960's, Eta Zeta had more positive influence on my life than ANYTHING! Most Eta Zetas can make this same statement. In my opinion, each of us needs to show our profound gratitude to our beloved chapter by giving back! The question for each of us to ask ourselves is: "HOW do I give back?" Several ideas are as follows:

1. FINANCIALLY
    Eta Zeta definitely could use your monetary gifts, and you need to decide where you wish to give and how to make that gift or gifts.

    One choice of where to give is the HOUSING CAMPAIGN, which provides funds to the House Corporation for the maintenance of the existing Sigma Nu House, and will furnish the funds to build a new Sigma Nu House in the not too distant future.

    To make a one time gift, or to give regularly via credit card or automatic bank draft, all you need to do is to go to the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation website at http://www.sigmanufoundation.org/ and do as follows:

     A.  Click on the CHAPTER HOUSING CAMPAIGN symbol located on the left side of the home page under CHAPTER CAMPAIGNS.

     B.  Click on the Eta Zeta (Louisiana Tech) option.

     C.  Go to the DONATE NOW paragraph and click where the words "Click here" are highlighted.

     D.  Complete the required information for billing and indicate whether you wish to make a single, monthly, quarterly, or annual contribution.

     E.  Designate whether you wish to pay via credit card or by automatic withdrawal from your checking account, and then provide the required information.

     If you would rather make your gift directly to the House Corporation, simply make your check payable to ETA ZETA HOUSE CORPORATION and mail it to:

     PLEASE NOTE THAT GIFTS TO THE HOUSING FUND VIA THE SIGMA NU EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE, WHILE GIFTS MADE DIRECTLY TO THE HZ HOUSE CORPORATION ARE NOT.

      Another choice of where to give is the ETA ZETA SCHOLARSHIP ACCOUNT. This fund has been established through the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation for the purpose of supporting the scholarly achievements of Eta Zeta Active Chapter members. Once a total of $10,000 has been accumulated in the endowed account, interest from the earnings will be allocated to deserving students. The criteria for distributing these awards has not yet been established, but the Eta Zeta Alumni Chapter will have the responsibility for administering the funds.

       PLEASE NOTE THAT GIFTS TO THE SIGMA NU EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR THE ETA ZETA SCHOLARSHIP ACCOUNT ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.

       Gifts may be made to the ETA ZETA SCHOLARSHIP ACCOUNT as follows:

       1.  Via check. Make your check payable to the SIGMA NU EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, being careful to show ETA ZETA SCHOLARSHIP ACCOUNT on the memo line, and mail it to:

       2. Via credit card or automatic bank draft from your checking account. Simply follow the same instructions given above for gifts to the CHAPTER HOUSING CAMPAIGN, with ONE difference - In the INSTRUCTIONS OR COMMENTS BOX, enter Eta Zeta Scholarship Account, along with any special designations you desire. For Example, you might enter: Eta Zeta Scholarship Account - in memory of Bobby H. Rawle HZ 101.

2.  SERVICE
      Eta Zeta could also definitely use your service. This is something everyone of us can give, especially those who are unable to give much financially. Exactly how you can serve is pretty much up to you, but if you would like some suggestions, please contact any or all of the following:
