Kenny Mears, 61, former Eta Zeta pledge, and brother of John, HZ 27, and Don, HZ 28, joined the Chapter Eternal on March 30, 2008, and was buried in Jena, La. on April 1. Kenny had battled diabetes all his life and lost a kidney about 15 years ago. His death followed a bout with double pneumonia. Kenny was a student at Tech in the mid-sixties and was loved by all the Eta Zeta Brotherhood. Our sincerest sympathies go to John, Don, Kenny's nephew, Jon, also an HZ, and the entire Mears family. HZ was represented at Kenny's funeral by Brother Eddie Rundell, HZ 62, along with his blood brothers, the HZ twins, Don and John.
